When I review, I always try to find a positive about it. I think “WHO WOULD LIKE THIS?” not “I didn’t like it”. Due to this, I often will try to come at a book with more about what was good or what aspects were enjoyable. There will be times, maybe, where I will post something negative. This would mean, however, that something really stood out to me about the item that I am reviewing.
I break my reviews up in a certain way. I start with the “REASON” that I wanted to watch, read, or review the item. This allows you to know why I went into this particular item. After that I include “MY THOUGHTS” which is exactly what it sounds like. This is the area that I am posting the most about what my opinion is of the item. This is basically the review itself. After that and the final area I have is “OTHER INFORMATION”. Often an author has other books, a TV series attached, or something else that is interesting to include. I post a small tidbit of information in this area for ya’ll so you can start to see other things related to this particular work.
My Rating System

I use the strawberry rating from 1-5. I will never rate something at a 0 because that is BERRY rude and I will never be BERRY RUDE to a creator of media. (I say this now, but I bet ya that I will read the worst book or watch the worst show/movie on the planet at some point and then only then would I post a 0 review, but it would have to be pretty deplorable)
1 Strawberry – I stepped away from this probably so many times and umm it was hard to finish. I may have even side eyed it several times because I was like what even is this that I am reading/watching.
2 Strawberries – Something didn’t sit well with me with this, but I didn’t hate hate it. It may have been a rougher for me to get through, but it was still okayish.
3 Strawberries – Neutral. I won’t sing about it from the mountains, but I am not gunning to tear it down either. Very much middle-road for me.
4 Strawberries – WOW! This was good. This is my that I really enjoyed this category. I will definitely be like “Have you heard of this?” but it just didn’t rise to the occasion of a new favorite forever.
5 Strawberries – OMG OMG OMG, how much did I love this! It was so good. I just added it to my favorites. LOVE IT!!
